Popmenu offers you the ability to add guests to a waitlist, send them a menu link while they wait, and ask for a review after their dining experience right in your My Pop dashboard or through the Popmenu for Owners app (available in Apple and Android stores).

Follow the steps below to learn how to add customers to your waitlist and what their experience is like as a guest!

Add Guests to a Waitlist

  • In your My.Popmenu.com dashboard or app, select the bell icon on the vertical toolbar as shown below. This screen will show you all guests currently on your waitlist. If your restaurant has multiple locations, next select the location applicable to your waitlist.

  • To add a guest select "Add to Waitlist" on the dashboard or "Add Guest" on the app.

  • Fill in the guest name, email, cell phone, party size, estimated wait time provided, and any special instructions. Your guest will then receive a text message that they have been added to your waitlist and to call your restaurant if there are any changes to their party.

  • Your color-coded waitlist dashboard shows your host if someone is meeting or exceeding their wait time.

    · Red – exceeded quoted wait time

    · Yellow – within 5 minutes of quoted time

    · Green – greater than 5 minutes from quoted time

    As seen below - this customer has been waiting 2 minutes longer than their originally quoted wait time

Sending a Menu Link While Guest Waits

  • In your My.Popmenu.com dashboard or app, select the bell icon on the vertical toolbar

  • Click Settings > Select your Location > Check the Send a menu link while guests are waiting box

  • Select the menu you'd like the guest to see when the text sends out

  • Your guests will now automatically receive a text with a link to the specific menu selected when turning the setting on

Notifying Your Guests

  • If you would like to notify your guests that their table will be ready shortly, select "Notify". Then select, "you're next on the list" and save! Your customer will then receive a text message that says, "Your party is next on the list. Please return to the restaurant. Your table will be ready shortly.”.

  • If you would like to notify your guests that their table is ready, select "Notify". Then, choose "table is ready". Your customer will then receive a text message that says, “Your table is ready at [RESTAURANT NAME]! Please check-in with the host to be seated.”. Guests will not receive an email notification.

  • To indicate a party is seated, select "Seat"

Remove from Waitlist

  • Select the customers' name, select "remove party".

Ask for a Review

  • Once a guest has been seated, the system will thank the guest for dining with you and for feedback based on their experience!
