Common Google My Business Errors + Warnings

Table of Contents

Pending Edits Warning

You may see a warning that says Pending Edits. If you see this, Popmenu's integration is pushing edits to the GMB listing that need to be accepted on Google.

  • To fix this, login to your GMB account: Click Info > ACCEPT ALL FOR THIS LOCATION

Account Verification

You may need to verify your account. If this is the case, select a verification method that works for you, as shown below:

  • If you receive a Verification Required error this means that you are trying to integrate with an email that Google does not recognize as the owner or manager of the account.

If this is the case, then you will need to identify the email that is the owner or manager and integrate using that email.

Take the Next Steps to Verify your Account

As discussed above, you will need to be an owner or manager of your Google My Business listing in order to successfully integrate your account in the dashboard. If you are not sure who owns your account use Google's Find and Manager your Business tool and search for your restaurant's name:

Select your business. Next, Google will direct you to a page that shows you the email of the email that you account is verified under:

If you recognize this email, then that is the email you will use for the Google My Business integration. You will need to remove the integration and re-integrate by logging into that Email.

If you do not recognize this email, click Request Access and fill out the form. Make sure that you request ownership access:

You will receive an email from Google confirming that your request has been sent. The current profile owner has 3 days to respond and to check the status of your request, sign in to Google My Business or click the link in your confirmation email that you received.
