  • Is there an additional cost to offer delivery via DoorDash to my customers?

DoorDash charges a $6.99 per order fee that can be subsidized in your Popmenu Online Ordering settings. Similar to In-House Delivery, there is a $1.00 per order Popmenu Convenience Fee plus credit card processing fees on all delivery orders. Customer tips will also go to DoorDash.

  • How does billing for delivery work? Will DoorDash bill me for deliveries?

The DoorDash fee for delivery orders received by Popmenu is held back when funds are dispersed to your connected payments account for clients using Stripe and Square as your payment processor. For Toast and Clover connected clients, Popmenu will collect your Doordash fees from your payment method on file. Also, there are no monthly bills from DoorDash for orders received through Popmenu.

  • Can my customers pay by cash or credit card when their food is delivered?

No, all delivery orders must be paid online at the time the order is placed via the payment processor connected.

  • Can a guest use the DoorDash app to find my restaurant and place an order?

Popmenu’s DoorDash partnership only applies to guests that order through your Popmenu website. Guests may still find your restaurant through the DoorDash app or website. These orders will not appear in your Popmenu Online Ordering dashboard and are subject to whatever fees DoorDash is charging you currently.

  • How far does DoorDash deliver?

DoorDash determines the delivery radius based on demand and driver availability. In most cases, this delivery radius usually comes out to about 5 miles.

  • Should I discontinue my storefront (app) relationship with DoorDash or Grubhub?

Not necessarily! You can continue any existing storefront agreement with third-party apps like DoorDash, Grubhub, UberEats and Postmates. These are still viable channels for reaching new guests!

  • Do I need to have a separate tablet for DoorDash with Popmenu?

No, Popmenu delivery orders are managed through the existing Popmenu Online Ordering dashboard inside My.Pop or the Popmenu mobile app.

  • How will I be notified that the order is delivered?

When an order is picked up and delivered, the order status automatically updates from “Delivering” to “Completed”.

  • What happens if no DoorDash driver is available?

When a guest starts an order, they will be required to enter a delivery address, date, and time they would like the order delivered. If there are no drivers available in the area and for that time, the guest will see a message indicating this.

  • Can I use in-house delivery and DD at the same time?

Only one delivery option can be live at one time. However, you have the power to switch between both. For example, use in-house delivery during the week and DoorDash on the weekends.
